In France, UnionPay cards (card number starting with 62) can be accepted in many merchants including Avenue des Champs-Elysees, Place Vendome, Charles de Gaulle Airport frequently visited by tourists and used to withdraw cash from over 50% of the ATMs of Credit Agricole, France Savings Bank and Societe Generale.

Merchants with the signage of all accept UnionPay cards, including merchants most frequented by tourists such as Lafayette, Printemps, Le Bon Marché, BHV, Bucherer, Paris Look, Benlux, franchise brand stores like LV, Dior, Armani, Cartier, Montblanc, VanCleef, duty-free shops in Charles de Gaulle Airport, La Vallée Village outlets, Sephora Perfume chain stores, and restaurants and hotels in hot tourism cities such as Paris, Nice, and Cannes. Since that some of the merchants have yet to put up the UnionPay signage, cardholders may show their UnionPay cards upon the till and inquire about UnionPay acceptance.
When using co-branded cards, you are advised to choose UnionPay as the routing option to be benefited from the special offers and services provided by UnionPay.
In France, 70% of ATMs accept UnionPay cards for withdrawing Euro. There are signage or the signages of the following six banks:
Credit Agricole, Caisse d'Epargne, Societe General, Credit Lyonais, Credit Industriel & Commercial and Credit Mutuel on these ATMs or the ATM screen. Some ATMs provide the interface in Chinese.

Daily cash withdrawal limit from respective issuers and/or ATM may apply. Please consult your issuer on the possible cap on the amount. You may split your withdrawals into several times which comply with the limit(s).
No conversion fee is applied to payments or cash withdrawal made by UnionPay cards or via UnionPay network. The transaction value in local currency will be directly converted to RMB based on the market exchange rate，and debited directly from cardholders’ RMB account.
There are no ATM commission fee charged by local banks in France nor by UnionPay, but possibly by some issuing banks. Please refer to your issuer to know the service fee details:
Cash withdrawal via debit card results in a lower commission fee.
Select PINs that cannot be easily guessed by anyone.
Never disclose your PIN to anyone who claims to represent the bank or the police.
Be alert to your surroundings before conducting any banking transactions.
Keep a close eye on your credit card during transaction to avoid any illegal activities.
If your UnionPay card has been stolen/lost, please inform the issuer immediately.
In France the ATM will send out your card before dispensing cash.
