Currently, some of the ATMs in Micronesia accept UnionPay card for cash withdrawal.
Please refer to the latest government policy on overseas cash withdrawal via UnionPay cards at "Service Center - Overseas Card-using Service - Card-using Notice". Please consult with your issuer about a possible cap on the amount of cash withdrawn each time imposed by your issuer. Some ATMs have withdrawal limits, too. In this case, please split into several withdrawals provided that the total amount does not exceed the daily limit.
No conversion fee is charged for making payments or withdrawing cash with UnionPay cards or via the UnionPay network. The transaction value in local currency will be directly converted to RMB based on the market exchange rate.
ATM commission fee consists of two separate fees:
(1) Service fee charged by the issuer: please consult the issuer for more details on specific rates.
(2) (2) Service fee charged by the ATM acquirer in Micronesia: some ATMs will charge commission fee, which is charged by the local banks in Germany and which has nothing to do with UnionPay or the issuer..
Cash withdrawal via the debit card results in a lower commission fee.
Please do not set a too simple PIN. Never disclose your UnionPay card PIN to anyone including the bank staff.
Pay attention to disguise your operation appropriately when you input the PIN in a public place.
When you are swiping your card, please keep the card within your range of visibility.
If the card gets lost, please immediately call the issuing bank to report the loss to ensure the security of the fund in your card.
